North Devon, Exmoor and the North coast
This region is backed at the Eastern end by Exmoor, with deep combes cutting their way down to the sea between deeply folded, wooded slopes. Here you will find some of the most beautiful coastline in the British Isles. West of the National Park of Exmoor there are traditional holiday resorts and a series of long sandy beaches. The rocky and steep sea margins are backed by quiet and unspoilt areas of great beauty.
